Story
I have never been a brave man. But I ran my first marathon at the North Pole.
I have never been an endurance athlete. But I am running 7 marathons on 7 continents.
I have never been a millionaire. But I plan to raise million for charity.
My name is Andrei Rosu. On December 5th, 2010 I will run the Pacific Marathon in Chile, 13.000 km away from home.
I am doing this to support HOSPICE Casa Sperantei and I am sure that your donations will make a difference for the people in need.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Andrei

About Andrei Rosu
Andrei Rosu, the first romanian to ever run the North Pole Marathon, becuase of his way of turning his dreams into reality, became a model of his generation. A marketing specialist working in a bank, Andrei decided at some point to make a significatn change in his life, so he just went for the North Pole Marathon. After three months of training, in which he ran more than 500 km, some of them in a cold storage room, and after sending more than 5000 emails in search of sponsors, he was finally ready. After the first marathon of his life, finishing the 15th, he became the first romanian to run at the North Pole and entered the Guiness Book for being the first man to play the drums at the North Pole.
After this amazing succes, Andrei began preparing for another project of his: he planned to run 7 marathons on 7 different continents, in no more no less than 77 weeks.
From September 2010 Andrei Rosu also runs for HOSPICE Casa Sperantei. Our patients are now part of his great project.
Your donations are very important for HOSPICE. Just so you can appreciate what difference your donated amount makes, learn that one day for a patient in the inpatient unit costs 65 GBP. Also, one year salary for a hospice nurse is 6834 GBP.
